Carta Noor Atelier | About the Studio

Carta Noor Atelier is the studio where historic pattern research and contemporary interiors meet. The work began with a simple question in courtyards, mosques and museums from Andalusia to Istanbul and beyond: why should the quiet brilliance of Islamic geometry, Moroccan tiles, Persian gardens, Mughal screens and Gothic tracery remain locked in archives, while modern walls stay plain and forgettable? Carta Noor Atelier exists to translate those visual traditions into wallcoverings that feel at home in today's spaces.

Each collection starts long before anything is printed. In the atelier, patterns are studied from architecture, manuscripts and textiles, then reconstructed with precise geometry to restore their internal logic. Proportions are adjusted, scales are tested on real walls, and color palettes are developed to work with contemporary materials like oak, linen, stone and brass. The goal is not nostalgia, but continuity: Carta Noor Atelier treats each design as a bridge between past and present rather than a replica.

Production is handled with the same care. Designs from Carta Noor Atelier are printed in the European Union on premium non‑woven substrates using water‑based, low‑odour inks. This combination provides crisp detail, durable surfaces and practical installation for both residential and boutique hospitality projects. Panels are printed and numbered to support a clear hanging sequence, with repeats engineered to align cleanly from drop to drop.

Whether you are a homeowner planning a single feature wall or a designer specifying patterns across multiple rooms, Carta Noor Atelier aims to give you tools that carry depth, order and atmosphere into your work. Each wallcovering is an invitation to live with geometry, light and story, drawn from places where pattern has always meant more than decoration.
