The Pattern

Ottoman Dome Radial Geometry Luxury Wallpaper takes its structure from the painted and tiled ceilings of Ottoman imperial mosques — spaces where geometry radiates outward from a central point in concentric rings of increasing complexity. The great domes of Istanbul, including those of the Sultanahmet and Süleymaniye mosques, were decorated with patterns that used the circle as their organising principle: stars, polygons and arabesques arranged in bands that expand from the centre to the perimeter, creating a sense of infinite extension within a finite surface. This design reconstructs that radial logic as a repeating wall pattern, using concentric rings of turquoise, gold and stone-toned geometry to build a composition that feels both monumental and precise. The palette is drawn directly from Ottoman tilework — the specific combination of cobalt, turquoise, aged gold and off-white that characterises the finest Iznik ceramics.

On the Wall

Ottoman Dome is the most architecturally ambitious pattern in the Carta Noor collection. It brings an immediate sense of scale and ceremony to a room — the kind of presence that makes a space feel designed rather than decorated. It works particularly well in entry halls, where the radial geometry creates a strong first impression; in dining rooms, where it provides a backdrop of sufficient weight to anchor a large table and chairs; and in hotel lobbies and boutique hospitality spaces, where the combination of spectacle and precision signals quality. The pattern is also well suited to ceiling application, where the radial structure performs exactly as it did in the original domed interiors it references. From a distance it reads as a bold, circular field of colour; step closer and the individual shapes, lines and motifs come into focus, revealing the underlying order that holds the whole structure together.

Production & Installation

Printed in the European Union on a premium non-woven substrate using water-based, low-odour inks. The surface is washable and suitable for both wall and ceiling application. Panels are printed and numbered to support accurate placement of the radial composition across the surface. Panel width is 76 cm. A sample is strongly recommended — the scale of the radial geometry and the intensity of the palette need to be assessed in the actual space before ordering.
