The Pattern

Alhambra Geometric Luxury Wallpaper draws its geometry from the tilework and stucco ceilings of the Nasrid palaces in Granada — one of the most studied examples of Islamic geometric design in the Western world. The pattern is built on an eight-pointed star grid, a construction that Islamic craftsmen used to generate infinite, non-repeating fields of interlocking polygons. At Carta Noor, the original geometry was reconstructed from architectural drawings and on-site study, then redrawn with precise digital tools to restore the internal logic of the proportions. The result is a pattern that behaves correctly at every scale: stars unfold into hexagons, hexagons give way to triangles, and the whole surface holds together without a visible seam.

On the Wall

From across a room, Alhambra Geometric reads as a calm, ordered texture — the kind that anchors furniture and artwork without competing with them. The palette sits in the space between deep teal, aged gold and a near-black ground, a combination that works with oak, linen, brass and stone. As you move closer, the construction reveals itself: lines intersect at precise angles, stars unfold in sequence, and the surface begins to feel like a hand-drawn blueprint for an imagined building. This dual quality — quiet at a distance, intricate up close — makes it equally suited to a full-room wrap and a single feature wall behind a bed or sofa. It performs well in living rooms, bedrooms, studies, corridors and boutique hospitality spaces where the brief calls for pattern with substance rather than decoration for its own sake.

Production & Installation

Printed in the European Union on a premium non-woven substrate using water-based, low-odour inks. The surface is washable, dimensionally stable and suitable for both professional and careful DIY installation. Each panel is printed and numbered in sequence, with the repeat engineered to align cleanly from drop to drop. Panel width is 76 cm; full-height panels are available to order. A physical sample is strongly recommended before ordering a full installation — colours and scale read differently on a wall than on a screen.
